1. Introduction
Welcome to The Catbears, an initiative by Maayan Malka (hereinafter “we”, “us”, or “The Catbears”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your access and use of our website, apps, digital products (including the Felt app), printed craft materials, activities and related services (collectively the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Who We Are
The Catbears is a private business founded by Maayan Malka, offering creative, craft-based, emotional-learning tools primarily for children, parents and educators. Our email contact is: [email protected].
The Catbears is a sole proprietorship (Osek Murshe) owned and operated by Maayan Malka, registered in Israel.
3. Use of the Services
The Services are provided for personal, non-commercial, educational or family use only.
When children use the Services, adult supervision (by a parent, guardian, teacher or responsible adult) is required.
You agree not to copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell or exploit any part of the Services (digital or printed) except as expressly allowed by these Terms.
You will not use the Services for any unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate purpose.
4. Account, Access & Supervision
Some features may require you (or your account-managing adult) to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity under your account.
If a child is using the Services, the adult is responsible for monitoring and guiding their use, especially in the Felt app.
5. Safety of Crafts & Educational Use
Our printed craft materials and activities are designed for children, but you (the adult supervisor) are responsible for ensuring safe usage.
We do not take responsibility for physical injuries, accidents or misuse of craft materials. Use scissors, glue, small parts, etc., under adult supervision and in accordance with recommended age guidelines and safety practices.
The craft activities are educational and creative in nature. They are not toys with faults guaranteed. Please inspect materials and tools before use.
6. Use of the Felt App
The “Felt” app is designed for children and adults to explore emotions, conflicts and guided visual reflection.
It should be used in a supervised manner: an adult should guide or participate in the process when children use it.
Felt is an educational support tool, not a substitute for professional psychological, medical or therapeutic care.
We do not accept liability for consequences arising from use of the app in lieu of professional help.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, illustrations, designs, printed materials, digital tools, apps, software and services associated with The Catbears are our (or our licensors’) property.
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal/educational use only. You do not acquire any ownership rights.
You may print or download materials only for personal or classroom use, not for resale or commercial redistribution.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We make no guarantee that the craft materials or app will meet your requirements or be error-free.
In no event shall The Catbears, Maayan Malka or their affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Services.
Your sole remedy is to stop using the Services.
